Press, News19/07 : Yesterday evening, rock, reggae and ska concerts at the Kelenn Beach, in Carantec ! Yesterday evening was an important concert evening for Carantec. Starting at 7pm, as the animations of jousts was happening on the swimming area, musical animations started. RDDB let us discover its really rock music, with a little bit of ska. The 4 musicians of VY Madio, Lionel, Morgan, Adrien and Matthieu, followed with an original French rock based on elaborate ordering and surrealist texts. The excellent FDB showed all the qualities of this group and its charming feminine singers coming from Douarnenez, whoses playing a music made of light and fresh texts on reggae music. The unclassable nomad trio closed this evening with its particular rock music that goes from waltz to reggae.Today’s nautical animations were surprising with a race of “godille”. For Carantec, Children have got all the attention with a day planned for them. On the program, traditional games, companies « Tramway fantaisie », « Zoé » or the Festival « Place aux Mômes ». Final testes of surf happened yesterday on the beach of « la Palue » in Crozon. Teams, as close as possible to the water, their region’s flag on the wind, largely screamed and yelled to encourage their competitors. The Corrida’s ambiance, punctuated by « Ola », blew all day on the Palue Beach. Games are now done, but competitors have to wait until Friday, 2pm to know the verdict during the closing ceremony at La Palue. Today, surfers will do a « TAG TEAM », which is working like a relay. All the team goes to water at the same time; a competitor starts and has to take 2 waves before he lets another competitor go for 2 other waves. No stake, no medal, just a little fun and may be a little bit of glory too. For our Celtic competitors, tests continued in optimist, windsurfing, cruiser, laser, dinghy and rowing at Carantec, Miniji at Térénez and Sand yachting at Plouescat. Here is the actual classment:
In general, all tests happened like it was planned and any test has to be moved to tomorrow. Tomorow should be more relaxing and convivial ! Sailing and kayaking leave together for a raid around the Calot Island and rowing will go to Plouézoc’h-Barnénez and/or around the “Château du Taureau”. Cruiser will sail in Bay of Morlaix. All this will happen until the closing ceremony and the trophies at 6pm on the stage on the festival game in Carantec. The 3 best countries will receive a trophy for each sport: in sailing, rowing, surfing, diving, kayaking and sand yachting and the 3 best countries for all sports will receive a trophy as well. The Interceltic festival pass the relay to Térénez whose organising their traditional boat gathering Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of July. On the program, a nice show of traditional boat but also animation for children, race of “godille” and concerts.
